Deceased Identification: robbery suspect dies by suicide

The Bannock County Coroner’s Office, in cooperation with the Chubbuck Police Department and Pocatello Police Department, has confirmed the identity of the deceased following the suspected robbery and death by suicide near 4310 Yellowstone Avenue in Chubbuck on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Deceased: Richard Henry Elkins, 19 of Chubbuck

Next of kin has been notified.

The incident remains under investigation by Pocatello and Chubbuck police with help from the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office.
