About Community Guardians

The Board of Community Guardians provides assistance to adult citizens who are not able to make decisions for themselves. Protected individuals under our guardianship have been deemed incapacitated or “developmentally disabled” by the court, therefore lack the insight to make safe decisions regarding their healthcare, financial, or basic care needs. Our role is to ensure these vulnerable adults are protected from exploitation, abuse, and neglect. The BOCG assists protected persons in decision-making related to finding safe housing, ensuring medical needs are seen to, financial needs, and exploring social support options.

Additional Resources

Bannock County is partnering with Portneuf Valley Development to begin a preliminary effort to gauge resident interest about the potential role of advanced nuclear energy in our county's future.

We want to hear from you.

We invite all residents to share their perspectives by completing a brief survey. Your feedback will help officials understand the community's stance before any further steps are considered.

The survey is available now through April 9.
